Can personality be measured like height or weight? Or is every person so unique that general rules simply do not apply?

In this episode, we explore two fundamentally different ways of studying personality. The nomothetic approach looks for patterns across large groups. The idiographic approach focuses on the individual in depth. We also cover early theories of personality, including Hippocrates' four humours, and why this debate still matters in modern psychiatry.

Ideal for MRCPsych Part A revision, psychology students and anyone interested in what makes us who we are. Aligned with the Royal College of Psychiatrists MRCPsych Part A syllabus, paragraph 1.1.6.

I would love to hear from you!
